Virtual DJ Software - In Depth Review
Virtual DJ 3
The advert is pretty much it will do anything,
including cleaning your sink. Download: Bloated, about 16 MB. Install: Pretty basic, just the usual prompts for folder to put the files in, etc. Startup: Pretty quick. The easiest way to put this, is if you like Tomb Raider, you will love this. This program has bedroom DJ/Gamer written all over it. I was waiting for the gremlins to pop out and eat the turntables :-) Played pretty much ok in our testing, but the interface leaves some things to be desired for a professional tool. Beware, this thing eats memory like Ms. PacMan, and you can quickly run out of resources. One hundred songs showing in the hard to read record case?, and using 40 MB already. Not recommended for pros, but it's cool if you want to show off to Avril Lavigne and her friends on the skateboards. A word of advice to the "boyz" at Atomix, go back to games, or design an interface that a pro used to pro equipment can use. And learn how to minimize memory usage. Afterword: I kept Virtual DJ running while I wrote this, and it locked up my system for a bit. Required a Task Manager shutdown so I could continue writing. Not as bad as PCDJ FX, but close.
